I remember it like it was yesterday, the excitement the energy of going it alone becoming my own boss using what I had learnt during my time at Barclays HR. A HR business was incorporated on July the 16th 2004 as Competent Recruitment Solutions; however, something was missing, the name wasn’t right; the offering wasn’t only recruitment HR is vast.
What name could we have, which encompassed what we were offering, after many debates, it was staring right at us, out with the old Competent Recruitment Solutions and in with the new HR in One HR for everyone, the business had been rejuvenated with a mission to provide a polite, professional, and efficient service, on time and on budget.
So this is where HR in One’s journey began, having just received a redundancy payment from Barclays HR, I knew from my previous experience within the Airline industry there was scope for providing end to end recruitment solutions at Manchester Airport.
Through hard work, networking and perseverance, in January 2005 we gained our first RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) client SAS Ground Services UK (SGS) a newly formed ground handling business in the UK looking to grow at a substantial rate. HR in One became their Recruitment Partner and managed the recruitment process for both Manchester and Heathrow Airports for 4 years.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are thankful for all the support we have received from experts in the HR industry, to well-wishers and service providers/users, in particular I would personally like to thank my esteemed friend and mentor Janet Bell who has been my voice of reason and has guided me for the last 20 years.
We will continue to provide premium HR services to create better outcomes for everyone, especially in these challenging times, with our main focus being on the delivery of the
PACE
(Practical Assessment Centre Experience) programme.
